The Note 4 will get the 5.1 update in July according to sources in Samsung. It will get a variant of the Theme Store.

I have had the M9 for 2 months. Compared to the s6 is positively slow. I find that is good software but really slow. So I recommend the s6 as benchmarks prove it's superiority. Maybe Sense 7 needs a tweak or two.
Even at CPU optimization option in the Developer Options made it lag terribly. I just thought it was lag but now realise having acquired the s6 that maybe the M9 is this slow anyway. I do like Sense 7 but wish they tweaked it up a bit.

I have had the s6 for a month or so now. The experience has been incredible. I have just flashed the official 5.1.1 ROM from France through Sammobile. It has been a welcome update.
I have just downloaded from the Theme Store the Material Design theme and have been impressed.
I think that the experience overall has been the best of all the phones I have used as a daily driver. I sometimes miss the G3 for some aspects of the UI and the fast way they updated the G3 to 5.0.
I believe if you are considering buying the S6 do not go for the Edge but the classic s6. Personal preference based on the ability to hold well on your hand when typing.
Performance and camera is the best and the UI is great when themed with a hybrid version of Material Design.
I look forward to Android M to be made available ASAP.

T-Mobile in the US has updated the s6 and s6 Edge to Android 5.1.1. We call on Samsung to release it to the regions. We know that RAW and Pro modes have been added to camera firmware. Also other tweaks to system. However we are not sure if the RAM management bug had been rectified. The speculation is that it has not.
It all has to do with Google who provide the updated Android platform they send to OEM companies.

It has been about 3 months since Google launched 5.1 and now we have 5.1.1 also available. It has been reported that Samsung are going to skip 5.1 and go to 5.1.1 to wrap into the update all the fixes of 5.1. At a time when M is now a Preview for public viewing and testing on select mobiles it is reported by a Canadian carrier that it will update their s6 mobiles to 5.1. We hope they do so that when Android M is launched fully that Samsung can match HTC pledges to update as quick as possible.
